About The Site

The purpose of this non-denominational site is to study essential Christian doctrines. The papers on this site are not merely designed to be instructive, they are posted in order to challenge traditional preconceptions, and ignite a sense of ownership within individuals, in order to investigate the truth within scripture without bias, just as the Bereans did..

The earnest and open study of scripture is a journey which clarifies essential Biblical truths. All of the doctrines in scripture inter-relate and shed light on each other; building faith, and strengthening the believer. Often, many pivotal doctrines are neglected, which opens the way for error and confusion, leaving the believer tossed about on a sea of controversy.

Eph 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive

Many doctrines have been perverted by false teachers. For example, Jesus went about preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and today there are three major divisions within Christendom surrounding the doctrine. These incompatible doctrines come from diverse interpretations regarding the nature of that kingdom, but the doctrine of the kingdom of God is not subject to private interpretation. Scripture itself must be applied to gain understanding on this essential doctrine. God desires His people to search these matters out, in order to gain a balanced understanding of all sound Christian doctrine, so that we can reach unity in the faith. It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter. (Proverbs 25:2)

God has given us all of His word, and every aspect of it is a part of Himself. We should not be deterred from our study by difficult passages or books in the Bible. We are to feed from The Word in it’s entirety, and continue to grow in our understanding of all things that pertain to our Lord. He is the living word, and desires to dwell richly within us (Col 3:16). To ignore any facet of the inspired holy Word of God, is to commit a grave injustice to the entirety of scripture.
